Search “WhatsApp fonts” and you get two answers mixed together. WhatsApp’s own formatting wraps a word in marks: *bold*, _italic_, ~strikethrough~, and monospace in triple backticks. That is styling WhatsApp applies while it draws the chat. It is not a font, and it disappears when you paste the same line into Instagram. A font generator does the other job. How to copy a WhatsApp font

  1. Type the line you will actually send. “on my way” is a better test than a paragraph.
  2. Choose sans bold, script or circled. Those three are the ones people still read in a moving chat.
  3. Copy one style.
  4. Paste into the chat, the status composer or About.
  5. If you only wanted WhatsApp’s own bold, type *like this* instead. You do not need a generator for that.

Russian and Ukrainian in WhatsApp

Bold, script and circled styles are Latin. The words «уже еду» stay ordinary in those styles. Strikethrough and underline marks work on Cyrillic, and so does a spaced line. Do not replace Ukrainian or Russian letters with similar Latin ones. The chat may look styled and still fail search, and a screen reader will announce the wrong letters.

How do I type bold in WhatsApp without a generator?+

Wrap the word in asterisks: *bold*. Underscores make _italic_, tildes make ~strikethrough~. That formatting exists only inside WhatsApp. A generator is for characters that stay styled when pasted elsewhere.

Why do some letters stay normal?+

Mathematical styles define Latin letters and digits. Accented letters and Cyrillic usually stay plain. Combining underline and strikethrough cover the whole word.

Can I change the WhatsApp font for the whole app?+

No. The chat chrome uses WhatsApp’s font. You can style the text you send, not the interface.
